Ten years buying wine for a supermarket, and even longer talking about it: on telly, in print, online, and to anyone stranded in the wine aisle at half past five on a Friday.

Helen is the resident wine expert on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen. She also writes for numerous magazines and is an international wine judge.

Her drinks books include the bestselling Knackered Mother's Wine Guide (based on her award-winning wine blog) and The Supermarket Wine Guide.

She also writes fiction, with five novels so far and a sixth, Summer at Villa Lucia, out in February 2027.

Awards include Fortnum & Mason's Online Drink Writer of the Year and Red magazine's Best Blogger.
